Charges of marijuana possession were quickly dismissed, but the state pressed charges for felony and misdemeanor counts of obstruction of justice. Jones was suspended from the NFL for the entire 2007 season and for part of the 2008 season for off-the-field conduct, which began the morning of February 19, 2007 during the 2007 NBA All-Star Game weekend in Las Vegas.
