Tupelo released four albums before breaking up in 1994. Jeff formed the band Wilco in 1994. They have released eight albums. The album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was certified Gold and has sold over 650,000 copies. Tweedy has also been a part of the side projects Loose Fur and Golden Smog.
