LeAnn Rimes’ Home: Offloading a $4.1 Million Love Nest

LeAnn Rimes career began when she was just a child.  After winning over the American public on “Star Search” while still in elementary school, she went on to release a country music hit at age 13.  She has continued to release popular albums, and has enjoyed pop-crossover success as well.  In addition to her albums, she has contributed to various film soundtracks, including “Coyote Ugly” and “Evan Almighty”, and made a moderately successful foray into acting as well.  However, like many child stars, she has also seen her share of legal issues.  Two high-profile lawsuits, one against her father and manager who had quietly siphoned off millions in profits, and another against her record label, overshadowed her musical success.  Then a very high-profile extramarital affair further eclipsed the fact that her albums were continuing to show strong sales.  Now that the furor has died down somewhat, she has been focused on her new marriage, recording a new album, and off-loading some of the reminders of her former life.  This included the recent sale of the Tennessee mansion that she once shared with her first husband.

The 13,300 square foot, six-bedroom, six full-bath, and three half bath-home, was listed for $7.45 million for three years.  When there were no takers, Ms. Rimes slashed the price to $4.1 million, where it finally sold.  The home also sports two kitchens, a saltwater swimming pool, a yoga studio, and is wired for a music studio.  When Ms. Rimes and her former husband purchased the property, it was considerably smaller, and they expanded it through a massive reconstruction project.  Unfortunately, their love did not last, so some lucky soul has been able to purchase a stunning mansion for a steal.
