His is the son of actor and singer Bing Crosby and actress Kathryn Grant. He performed with his family and starred in the 1970 television musical Goldilocks. Crosby attended the University of Miami and turned professional in 1984. He competed on the European Tour before regaining his amateur status in 1994. He became involved in golf club manufacturing companies as well as golf real estate. In 2005 he was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame.
