The score ranges from 0 to 100, a stern face with puckered up lips will be scored the lowest, that is the opposite of the smile will be rated 0, the normal sitting expression will be rated 30/100.
Many users are eager to score 100 on the filter and the best way to do this is with the biggest smile you can muster, smiling with the whole face, which includes the eyes and cheeks is necessary.
This is also the highest score that can be achieved in the filter, due to the scoring scheme of the filter, it has become a challenge to try and get 100.

How to Get The Smile Filter on TikTok? A Step By Step Guide
Here are the steps to get Smile Score/ rating filter on TikTok
- Open the Discover tab inside of TikTok, you can find this via the bottom bar.
- After this, use the search bar inside the tab to search for a video with the hashtag #smilescore.
- Pick any video that has the hashtag and there will be a Smile Rating’ above the username. It should have an orange wand icon next to it.
- Tap on the “Smile Rating” and add it to favorites.
- Lastly, start shooting a TikTok video and go into the effects, where under the favorites section the filter will be available.
Is Smile Filter Available on Instagram and Snapchat?
As of July 2020, there is no Smile Score filter on Instagram and Snapchat. The users of this filter are limited to TikTok but it might be coming soon to other platforms.

There is, however, a similar filter on Snapchat that does the exact same thing as the Smile score on TikTok.
